Job Description:
The APAC Operations BI team is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent web development and database skills. This individual must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and a proven track record of effectively translating business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions. The ideal candidate should also show a passion for business processes optimisation and challenging the status quo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build web applications to allow users to visualise large datasets and KPIs.
- Run complex simulations for forecasting and planning.
- Manage workflow between business functions.
- Design, develop, tune, and service SQL databases
- Engaging with business users for business requirements
- Developing enhancements to existing solutions
- Production support for applications and databases
- Design, build, and rapidly develop web applications using RAD (Rapid Application Development) methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional development environment.
- Strong knowledge of web application development and analytical programming.
- Strong development experience in using a LAMP solution stack.
- Experience in developing applications with PHP, Python, Angular 2, and React.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design experience.
- Relational database experience and demonstrated abilities in SQL and data modelling.
- Experience in SQL tuning, writing complex queries, triggers, and query optimisation.
- Able to proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members and non-technical business partners.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Must possess an enthusiastic and positive work attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of coding languages such as Java, Node.js JS is a plus.
- Experience in Docker and micro services architecture is a plus.
- Knowledge of building applications in the Supply Chain space preferred.
